After two years of performing in intimate venues, the unconventional new music collective known as weird aftertaste brings you WAparty - an immersive weekend of four meticulously curated concerts.
From 27 October to 29 October 2023, weird aftertaste offers you everything from gently evolving soundscapes to experimental noise; minimalist scores to maximal sonic assaults; wistful soliloquies to Fluxus epics, as well as several world premieres of new works by local composers.
Anticipate captivating performances including György Ligeti’s monumental Poème symphonique for 100 metronomes, Michael Pisaro’s ecologically minded Ricefall, Frederic Rzewski’s politically charged Coming Together, a breathtaking world premiere by Joyce Koh and many other wildly eclectic contemporary music.
