DesignTinkers provide fun & nurturing workshops in Art, Design & Architecture; designed to pique curiosity, prompt inquiries, challenge norms, investigate, test ideas and get to unique outcomes through a Design process.
By exposing children to design ideas, concepts and aesthetics, DesignTinkers introduce the Design thinking process as a way to problem solve and be creative in finding solutions.
Children will have opportunities to collaborate in teams, foster learning through tinkering with open-ended materials to stretch their creativity. There will be no instruction manuals to follow, no tests to score, no exams to conquer and no screen time. Working in groups, children are encouraged to be creative in their findings as they apply Design Thinking principles in understanding the needs and challenges of who they are designing for.

Program Objectives:
Are you always intrigued by how miniature architectural models are built? Join this hands-on model-making session to design and build your very own miniature TreeHouse, guided by architectural trained instructors.
This 3.5 hour workshop will expose you to fundamental model-making tips, materials and techniques to build a TreeHouse design from scratch, with a live plant and pot provided as a base.
This workshop requires no extensive crafting experience. You can also be assured that no plants will be harmed in the process of creating.
