Come join us for a fun filled hands-on 2-day holiday camp designing your personal bedroom space with understanding of floor layout planning, furniture types, materials, colors and textures.
Day 1, Children will be introduced to Design Thinking principles to identify their needs and desires for their bedroom spaces before starting on the floor layout planning. They will get to personalize and decorate the interior spaces; learn model-making techniques and get creative transforming everyday materials into their own unique bedroom model prototype.
In the afternoon, children will be introduced to Jesmonite as an eco-friendly material widely used in arts, crafts and architecture. Guided by our Jesmonite specialist instructor from ANKY Studio, children will learn Jesmonite casting to create their own unique lounge chair furniture piece for their room. They will get to choose the colours to create the casting mixture before pouring it into a mould and witness Jesmonite changing state from a liquid to solid through an exothermic reaction.
Children will demould their Jesmonite works on Day 2 and continue building up their bedroom model prototype. Every child’s room design will be different and unique suited to their needs!
