Five poems, Five artistic interpretations, One stage
Five artists from five different disciplines; dance, theatre, sound, visual, and installation, invite you to experience and be enthralled by poetry's new address. Alamat Baharu or A New Address artistically interprets poetry from some of Singapore's finest Malay poets namely Suratman Markasan and Masuri S. N., among others.
Exploring the theme 'together but apart', these contemporary artists draw emotions and meaning from selected poems in their attempts to reveal what it takes to coexist in our ever changing society and how to celebrate and reap from our differences.
Performed in English and Malay, with English surtitles
