The Arts House seeks proposals from writers and artists to create works for New Word Order 2016, an incubatory programme by The Arts House that aims to give voice to Singapore writers and artists exploring new ways of presenting the written word. 

Support
The programme aims to develop artistic projects in either the performing, visual or multi-disciplinary art forms that adapt from Singapore literary works. New Word Order supports all creations within the performing, visual or multi-disciplinary art forms, as long as they draw from the canon of published Singapore literature.

A grant of SGD 10,000 will be given to the successful applicant to work on the project over a period of six months. The applicant may also receive mentorship from selected arts professionals.

Showcase
The selected applicant will be required to showcase their work at The Arts House in November 2016 / December 2016. The artist shall deliver two presentations (July 2016 and October 2016) before the final showcase, with details of key activities and milestones of the project to-date. The format of the presentation is flexible, depending on the proposed work. An evaluation report should also follow after the showcase.

The final showcase can be a work-in-progress presentation of the proposed work.
