In the inaugural performance of Sollum Swaramum, experience the beauty of Tamil poetry brought to life by recitation and paired with music by award-winning Indian classical musicians. The evening will feature works by Singaporean poets – Cultural Medallion recipient K T M Iqbal, P Elango, M K Kumar, Suba Senthikumar, Elancharan Gunasekaran and Subiksha Raman – which will be recited by actors Rebekah Sangeetha Dorai and Sivakumar Palakrishnan.

The ensemble of musicians which comprises winners of the National Arts Council’s National Indian Music Competition will underscore the interweaving emotional correspondences between text and music. They are Raghavendran Rajasekaran on flute, Surup Sowmithri Thathachar on violin with Viknash Balakirshnan and Thulasidas Vasudevan on percussion. Sollum Swaramum is produced by Aravinth Kumarasamy with poems curated by K Kanagalatha.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலாச்சாரப் பதக்கம் பெற்ற K T M இக்பால், P இளங்கோ, M K குமார், சுபா செந்ல்குமார், இளஞ்சேரன் குணசேகரன் மற்றும் சுபீக்‌ஷா ராமனின் கவிதைகளை, உள்ளூர் நடிகர்கள் ரிபெக்கா சங்கீதா துறையும் சிவகுமார் பாலக்கிரிஷ்ணணும் வாசிக்க, தேய இந்திய இசைப் போட்டியின் வெற்றியாளர்கள் உள்ளடக்கிய உள்ளூர் கலைஞர்கள் இசை வழங்குவர். இசைக் கலைஞர்கள்: ராகவேந்திரன் ராஜசேகரன், சுருப் தாதாச்சர், விக்னேஷ் பாலக்கீர்ஷ்ணண் மற்றும் துலசிதாஸ் வாசுதேவன். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியன் படைபாளர் அரவிந்த் குமாரசாமி. கவிதைகளை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தவர் K கனகலதா.
