AKAR is an arts learning festival that aims to provide the community access to quality arts learning experiences, appreciate arts and culture, acquire skills and knowledge about the arts, and articulate thoughts and ideas. 2023 will mark the 10th edition of AKAR, and to celebrate this milestone, Variasi collaborates with AHL to co-present an expanded edition. This three-day programme engages youths, cultural activists, artists, and educators. Through AKAR 2023 theme of ‘Lestarikan Seni Kita’, participants can look forward to a weekend of celebrating Malay arts and heritage through conferences, workshops, talks, performances, and exhibitions.
