There are many heirlooms in the Malay community, such as fabrics, utensils, weapons, among others. However, in this Kita Ada… series, our focus is on Keris. As physical objects unique to the Malay community, families with heirlooms can appreciate the distinctive characteristics of these heirlooms, which are best described in the Malay language. For instance, the Keris has various components like Dapor, Perabot, Hulu, Sarong, Mendak, and more. In this session of Kita Ada, we feature Adni Aljunied, who will introduce Keris – it’s evolution, history and types. Adni will also address misconceptions about the Keris.
